OUCH! MY UlCER JUST HEALED NOT LONG AGO!
There are many types of different ulcers you know that? The most common ulcers are caused by either biting by your TEETH or infection due to the bacteria on your hands getting into your chapped lips thus causing ulcer.
Ulcers are very irritating. They tend to grow from like a tiny dot to a huge muthafucking-i-dont-know what is it called. Normally the early phase of ulcer does not hurt that much but once it starts to explode into a bigger sore, the pain is beyond your imagination
So I went to read up on wikipedia on the causes of ulcer and summarized into a few causes. They are :
1.Chemical injuries ( Alcohol & Aspirins )
2. Minor physical injuries
3. Inhaled Corticosteroids
4. Immune system
5. Immunodeficiency
6. Autoimmunity
7. Allergy
8. Dietary
9. Cancer
10. Protozoans ( Parasitic ones )
11. Fungal
12. Bacterial
13. Viral ( Herpes simplex virus, Varicella Zoster, Coxsackie A virus and HIV )
14. Infection
15. Smoking Cessation
So there are 15 causes of Ulcer. I didn't know that till I read up on wikipedia! Hehe!
But I guess the MOST COMMON way of getting an ulcer is throught accidental biting lah!
And according to wikipedia , Mouth ulcers tend to afflict women more than men and people less than 45 years. Mouth ulcers occur most frequently among 16-25 year olds., and they rarely occur in anyone over 55.
I think I belong to the abnormal case of having ulcers because I got LOTS of ulcers during my Secondary 4 year. And I don't remember biting myself. Things have drastically improved this year. I still have ulcers but not that often anymore.
At least not as often as Wes
Come back tomorrow for what happened today!!!!

There are not many ways of treating ulcer though. Actually there is none I guess. The only ways are to relieve the pain but this is usually temporary.
Taking painkillers relieves pain. Keeping oral cavity clean reduces the growth of bacteria.
For me, I like to use mouth wash. It some hows numbs the pain of the ulcer right after I used it. Bonjela helps too but it really doesn't work for long.
Did you ever realise that after brushing your teeth with Minty toothpastes relieves the pain? I don't know about you but it really works for me!
People say that salt helps in helping the ulcer to heal faster. But I have no idea how true is that. All I know is that after applying salt on the sore, the pain would be so excruciating you feel like @#$%^&*
Its like YAO SIEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
Hehehe hope you all learnt something today. For more information you can always go to wiki or surf the net for more details.
I might not be 100% right about any info here so yeah. Just some general knowledge for you all out there :)
